2008-2009 Junior Class Update

At the annual ISR meeting last weekend, several Junior-class issues were discussed. The manufacturers recognize that there needs to be new machine alternatives in the future for the Junior classes and they are addressing the issue. Although they will be beginning work on the project this summer, their hope is to have a viable sled option for the Junior classes available in the 2009-2010 season.

This means that the Junior 10-13 class in the USCC for the 2008-2009 race season will once again be limited to a 380cc maximum fan-cooled engine size.

The Junior 14-17 class will again be limited to 600cc fan-cooled machines. However, eligible SPORT 85 class sleds will also be legal in the Junior 14-17 class as well.
