Minto, ND (December 19, 2011) - The United States Cross-Country Racing Association will have a new racing class for the 2011-2012 season geared toward girls age 10-15. The Girls 10-15 class will operate under the same rules as the Junior 10-13 class with eligible sleds being 380cc or smaller fan-cooled or Expert class sleds with gear reduction. "There are a bunch of girls racing against the boys in the Junior class right now," said USCC Race Director Jesse Strege. "We want to get these girls their own class so they can race each other and hopefully it will be a stepping stone for them to enter the Pro Women class." Complete rules and gearing charts are available online at www.usccracing.com in the rules. The gearing chart and eligible sleds can be seen in the Appendix section of the rules. The USCC season is set to being December 31, 2011, with the Grafton 100 in Grafton, North Dakota.
